Can: host your listing in front of a huge, serious collector audience; keep a crowd-sourced release database; show generic marketplace sale history for a release.

Can't: identify what you're holding from a photo; price your specific copy from real-time comps; give you your own branded storefront; run an in-person checkout (coming soon, Seller tier).

What Square (or Other POS) Can & Can't Do

$0–$49–$149/mo + processing fees

Can: take card/cash payments in person; basic SKU inventory (any plan); label printing & cost/margin tracking — only on the $49–149/mo tiers.

Can't: identify anything from a photo, at any price; suggest a real price from live market data; list to Discogs or any collector marketplace — Square doesn't build for this category at all.
